Current Page Document Loader
Current Page Document Loader
Section titled “Current Page Document Loader”Load the current tab as text to feed into the Indexer.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Reads the visible text of the currently-open browser tab and outputs it under a configurable
field (default text). Connect that output to the
Indexer node’s Input port to index whatever page
you are on.
When to use it
Section titled “When to use it”Use it to index the page a user is currently viewing — a document, an article, an internal tool — without needing a public URL.
Inputs and settings
Section titled “Inputs and settings”| Setting | Notes |
|---|---|
| Output field name | Field that holds the extracted text. Defaults to text. |
| DOM Selector | Optional CSS selector to scope extraction to part of the page. |
| Visible text only | When enabled, returns text from visible elements only. |
| Include input fields | When enabled, the incoming item’s fields are merged into the output. |
Outputs
Section titled “Outputs”An item with the current page’s text under the chosen output field (default text).
- Extension only. This loader talks to the active tab through the awflow browser extension, so it does not run in the web app. Install the extension to use it.
- Uses the same page-text extraction as Get All Text.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”No content found— the page (or the selected element) yielded no text. Run the node after the page has loaded, and check the DOM Selector if you set one.
