Attio

Turn the page you’re on into a CRM record. Read a profile, extract the details, and create or update a person or company in Attio — then attach the page itself as a note.

Creates or updates people and companies (deduplicated by email / domain) and logs notes from the current page against a record. This is the classic sales-extension pattern — “log the profile I’m viewing” — as a composable workflow: read the page, extract with the Information Extractor, upsert the person, attach the URL.

ResourceOperations
PersonCreate or update (dedup by email), Search
CompanyCreate or update (dedup by domain), Search
NoteCreate (attach the current page to a record)

“Create or update” searches for an existing record by its unique attribute first — email for people (email_addresses), domain for companies (domains). If a match is found the record is updated; otherwise a new one is created. The result includes created: true | false so the rest of your workflow knows which happened.

Note: search indexing can lag record creation slightly, so two upserts fired back-to-back for the same email/domain can create a duplicate. Space them out if you fan out in parallel.

  • Auth: an Attio API key, sent as Authorization: Bearer <api-key>. Create one under Workspace settings → Developers → Access tokens in Attio.
  • ⚠️ Scope guidance: an Attio API key is account-wide — it can read and write everything your workspace permits. There is no per-record scoping. Treat it like a password — a leak exposes your CRM.
  • The token is stored in your credential vault and never passes through awflow’s backend.

This node is extension-only. The Attio API isn’t confirmed to send browser-CORS headers, so run it in the awflow browser extension.

  • 401 / unauthorized — the API key is missing, revoked, or wrong. Create a new one in Attio (Workspace settings → Developers → Access tokens) and update the credential. The node calls this out in the error.
  • A duplicate was created — two “create or update” calls for the same email/domain ran before Attio’s search index caught up. Space them out, or search first.
  • Note isn’t attached — set both Attach to and Record ID; the note must reference a parent record.
