Aria and your agents remember facts about you — short, lasting things like “Prefers guesthouses over chain hotels” or “Budget is usually under €600”. They use them in later chats so you don’t have to repeat yourself.
Facts are stored only on this device. See all of them on the Memory page, or per agent in its Memory tab.
How facts are saved
Section titled “How facts are saved”Ask it to remember
Section titled “Ask it to remember”Say it plainly: “Remember that my budget is €600.” The fact is saved right away, and a line under the reply says Saved to Aria’s memory: “Budget is €600” with View and Undo. In a project chat it says Saved to the project’s memory.
Questions are never saved: “Do you remember my budget?” or “I don’t remember the name” don’t create a fact.
Remember this?
Section titled “Remember this?”When you mention a lasting preference without asking, the assistant only suggests it. A Remember …? card appears under the reply:
- Remember saves it.
- Edit lets you reword it first (up to 500 characters).
- No thanks discards it.
If you ignore it, the card fades after a few messages, and the suggestion waits in Memory → Facts → Suggested for 14 days. A suggestion is never used in a chat until you confirm it.
The suggestion is made on an on-device model when one is already loaded, otherwise on the chat’s own model.
How facts are used
Section titled “How facts are used”The most relevant facts
Section titled “The most relevant facts”You may have hundreds of facts; a chat doesn’t need them all. With each message, the assistant picks the facts most relevant to what you just asked, and always includes pinned facts. The rest stay out of the way.
To find relevant facts, AWFlow uses a small memory search model that runs on your device. It downloads quietly the first time it is needed. Until it is ready — or when it can’t run — the assistant uses your newest facts instead, so memory is never silently empty.
See what was used
Section titled “See what was used”The context meter shows a Memory row. When only some facts went in, it says so — for example 8 of 212 facts — and while the search model isn’t ready, it adds newest facts — memory search is downloading (or is off).
In the quick chat (notch, right-click card, palette), Used 3 memories under a reply lists the facts that went in.
Reference, not instructions
Section titled “Reference, not instructions”Facts are given to the model as reference data about you, clearly separated from its instructions. A fact that reads like a command (“ignore your rules…”) is not obeyed.
Turn it off for one chat
Section titled “Turn it off for one chat”Chat settings › Use Aria’s memory turns memory off for the current chat: no facts are used, and nothing is learned or suggested.
Who learns what
Section titled “Who learns what”- The agent that answered learns: the chat’s agent, or the agent you @mentioned for that reply.
- In a project chat, facts go to the project memory instead of the agent’s (see Projects).
- An agent whose Learn from chats and feedback switch is off never learns or suggests anything — not in its own chats, not in projects, not in team threads.
- In a team thread, each member follows its own Learn setting.
Turn learning on or off in the agent’s Memory tab. Also read Aria’s memory about you lets an agent use what Aria knows (name, language, general preferences).
The agent’s Memory tab
Section titled “The agent’s Memory tab”Open an agent and go to Memory to see what it has learned. You can:
- Add something agent should know, edit a fact or forget it;
- review its Suggested facts;
- share a fact with a team: when the agent belongs to one team, click Only agent to switch to Shared with team; when it belongs to several, pick one specific team from the Share menu. Teammates only see memories shared with their team;
- Forget everything (it asks first).
Team memory
Section titled “Team memory”A team’s Shared memory tab holds facts every member reads in that team’s threads:
- the team’s own facts — learned in team threads (“remember …”) or added here — which you can edit and forget;
- Shared by members — facts an agent shared with this team, with who shared it. Stop sharing keeps the fact with that agent only;
- Forget everything asks you to confirm before it removes the team’s facts.
Deleting an agent or a team
Section titled “Deleting an agent or a team”The delete dialog asks Also delete its N memories — on by default, with one of the facts as an example. Uncheck it to keep them: they move to Memory → Facts → No owner, where you can export or delete them later.
Remove memories
Section titled “Remove memories”- One fact: the agent’s or team’s Memory tab, or Memory → Facts.
- Everything an agent remembers: Forget everything in its Memory tab.
- Everything all agents remember: Settings › Privacy › Agent memory.
Encryption
Section titled “Encryption”When Local secret protection is on, facts are encrypted on this device. Unlock with your passphrase to read them; unlocking in the app also unlocks the notch for this session. While protection is on, chats use your pinned and newest facts (relevance search needs readable facts), and while locked, facts aren’t used at all. See Encryption on this device.
