Request board

Ask the community to build a workflow you need, vote on existing requests, and get notified when one ships.

The request board is where you ask for a workflow you can’t find — and watch it get built. Describe what you want, other people vote it up, a maintainer picks it up, and when it ships you get a notification that links straight to the ready-to-use workflow.

Two ways in:

  • Sidebar → Request Board (under Published Workflows).
  • The “What the community wants built” banner near the top of the Marketplace, which teases the most-wanted requests and links through.

You can also reach it when a Marketplace search finds nothing — a “see what others have requested →” link appears with the empty result.

  1. Click Request a workflow (on the board, or from the gallery’s “Can’t find it?” tile).
  2. Give it a Title (e.g. “Auto-summarize my inbox every morning”) and a Description of what it should do and why.
  3. Optionally pick a Category to help others find it.
  4. Submit request.

As you type a title, the board looks for similar requests and shows them:

2 similar requests — join instead of duplicating?

If one matches what you want, click Join +1 to add your vote instead of creating a duplicate — you’ll still be notified when it ships. This keeps demand visible in one place rather than scattered across near-identical entries. If none fit, just finish your new request.

Requests move through three lanes:

Lane What it means
🔥 Most wanted Open requests, sorted by votes. Click Join +1 to add yours.
Building now Someone’s on it. When it’s close, an In review badge and an “Est. ship in …” countdown appear.
Shipped Done. Each card links to Open the workflow → and shows when it shipped.

A heartbeat bar at the top shows the board’s momentum — requests and votes this week, what shipped this month, and how many are in review.

When a request you made or voted on ships, you get:

  • an in-app notification — the bell in the top bar shows an unread count; open it to see “Your requested workflow shipped” and jump straight to the workflow;
  • an email (if you’re signed in with email notifications), with a link that opens the ready workflow in a couple of clicks.

Every requester and every voter on a request is notified — so joining a request with Join +1 is also how you subscribe to its “it shipped” ping.

Workspace moderators manage requests (status, estimated ship date, marking a request fulfilled and linking the published workflow) and merge duplicate requests from the admin request screen. See Featuring and curating listings for the related Marketplace curation controls.
