AWFlow keeps your data in your browser: chats, memory, knowledge bases, on-device models and workflows. Settings › Storage shows what it all takes and helps you keep it safe and small. Nothing on this page is uploaded.
What takes the space
Section titled “What takes the space”The top card shows the total AWFlow uses, out of about how much this browser allows, with a bar split by category:
| Category | What it counts | Manage |
|---|---|---|
| Local models | Models downloaded for on-device AI | Local AI |
| Memory | Conversations and facts, with how much it grew this week | Memory → Storage |
| Knowledge bases | Bases and their chunks | Knowledge bases |
| Workflows & run history | Your workflows and their past runs | Workflows |
| Other | Everything else AWFlow stores | — |
The total and the limit are estimated by the browser; the size of each category is AWFlow’s own measure. Some browsers don’t report a limit: then only AWFlow’s measures are shown.
Keep my data
Section titled “Keep my data”When the disk runs low, a browser may delete a site’s data on its own — for AWFlow that means chats, memory, knowledge bases and models. The Protected from automatic clean-up card tells you whether your data is safe from that:
- Not protected — click Keep my data to ask the browser to keep it. The browser decides; most grant it to an installed extension or a site you use often.
- Protected — the browser won’t delete AWFlow data when the disk is low.
Clearing the browser’s site data still removes everything, protected or not. Use Export memory (and knowledge base export) to keep a copy of what matters.
When memory gets large
Section titled “When memory gets large”With Tell me when memory gets large on (the default), AWFlow lets you know once when memory passes 500 MB, again at 1 GB, and when the browser is 80% full:
- a short notice in the app, and
- a banner on Settings › Storage and Memory → Storage, for example Memory passed 500 MB — Slimming 12 old chats would free about 340 MB. Nothing you read is lost.
Review opens Memory → Storage filtered to what is easy to free. Not now hides the banner until the next threshold. Turn the switch off to stop these suggestions.
Automatic clean-up
Section titled “Automatic clean-up”Clean up old conversations is off by default: nothing is removed unless you turn it on. When you do, set the rule:
- When a conversation hasn’t been opened for N days (90 by default),
- slim it, archive it (export, then remove) or delete it,
- Applies to: Aria chats, Quick chats and/or Workflow conversations (Aria and quick chats by default),
- Skip pinned chats (on by default).
A live line says what the rule would do right now (“Right now this would slim 8 conversations and free ≈ 120 MB”), with See which to list them. Run now applies it immediately, and History lists the last runs and what each freed.
The rule runs once a day when AWFlow starts. In the browser extension it also runs in the background, once a day, even when AWFlow isn’t open.
See Slim, archive and delete for what each action keeps.
